Ritual Possession: Inviting the Gods and Spirits Within

An Interactive Panel Discussion

African Diaspora traditions are known for time-honored methods of ritual possession—the process by which divine entities and spirits descend into or “ride” the practitioner. It is not as widely recognized that this is also a crucial component of Witchcraft traditions as well. This panel brings people together from African diasporic, European Pagan, and even Christian spiritual traditions to discuss how these techniques might cross into various paths and help people to better understand the training necessary to awaken and invite the divine within.
